The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a diode pumped, all solid-state, frequency doubled Nd:YV04 laser which shall meet the following specifications: 1) CW TEMoo, output at 532 nanometers, 2) M2 less than 1,1, 3) Greater than 10 watts, 4) Closed-loop water cooling, 5) Derated operation of pump diode lasers at less than seventy-five percent, 6) Automatic optimization of pump diode wavelength, 7) Closed-loop temperature control of Nd:YV04 and doubling crystals, 8) Noise less than 0.1 percent rms ten hertz to 0.1 Gigahertz, 9) Power stability less than 1.0 percent after warm up, and 10) linear polarization less than 100:1. Technical merit as well as price will be used to evaluate offers. As the technical merit becomes more equal, price becomes a greater factor.
