The AN/ALQ-184 is an Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) pod used to protect tactical aircraft by jamming enemy anti- aircraft and missile radars. Raytheon Company -- Electromagnetic Systems Division (ESD) has modified 10 ALQ- 184 ECM pods to give them ALE-50 towed decoy capability. Technical data and drawings for the AN/ALQ-184 (V)9 are proprietary to Raytheon Company -- ESD.
