The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Hughes Space and Communications, 460 Herndon Parkway, Herndon, VA 20170 for engineering and technical support for Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) Radar Track and Telemetry Relay. This support will include 50 state satellite bandwidth lease, support for Water-Side Integration Tests, upgrades as required to shipboard and earth terminal equipment, integration and test of shipboard and earth terminal enhanced IP capabilities, Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) Maritime mini-M earth terminal equipment and VTC equipment and software. The proposed contract will be a five-year effort with support beginning on 01 October 2000. Anticipated release date for Request For Proposal (RFP) N00178-00-R-1064 is 30 June 2000; responses due by 31 July 2000. This is a continuation of services now being provided by the contractor. Spares and additions shall be interchangeable with the current land-based and shipboard terminals.
