NASA/GSFC is hereby soliciting information from potential sources for new receiver technology in conjunction with the implementation of a new service termed "Demand Access". The Demand Access service is targeted at an emerging class of earth orbiting/lower atmosphere scientific customers that require low-cost, relatively low rate telemetry data services. We are soliciting information in response to the draft specification for the receiver, that is attached as a document file to this announcement. A cover letter is also attached as a document file to this notice. Parties wishing to respond to this request for information should do so via e-mail to Klaus D. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
