INSPECTION, CALIBRATION AND FIELD TRAINING OF LOAD INDICATION SYSTEMS. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the US Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, intends to procure, on a sole-source basis, inspection, calibration, and field training services. The services are to be procured from Martin/Decker Totco Company of Cedar Park, Texas. Martin/Decker Totco is the manufacturer and installer of Model LM 2000 load display systems onto nine (9) new locomotive crane undercarriages. The undercarriages will be installed at Lock and Dam Nos. 3 through 9 along the Mississippi River. The performance of inspection, calibration, and field training services by Martin/Decker Totco personnel ensures the warranty protection of the load display systems and is critical to the safe, reliable, and repeatable operation of the equipment. Martin/Decker Totco technicians have the necessary familiarity with the design and operation and are certified to do the work. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. Award of a purchase order is anticipated to be approximately 14 July 2000.
