The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE contract with Dr. Stephen Permison, 15012 Carry Back Dr, Darnestown, MD 20878. The purpose of this effort is to continue the development, implementation, expansion, integratation, and evaluation of the use of the HRSA Federal Credentialing Program. Specifically this contract will obtain expert consultation in the development, implementation, and expansion of software for primary verification of credentials of federal healthcare providers, specifically the Federal Credentialing Program/Department of Veteran Affairs' FCP/VetPro. This includes overseeing the completion of software development, testing at multiple locations, evaluation of the results, implementation of the FCP/VetPro, and expansion of its use by promotion to other federal agencies and departments, other branches of federal healthcare delivery, etc. The contractor shall also convene research forums, develop teaching cases and recommend identification of a new editorial board to oversee the development of the teaching cases centered on the National Practitioner Databank research database by working with the HRSA/Bureau of Health Professionals/Division of Quality Assurance's Research Program.
