R -- TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS VETERANS SOL 558-61-00 DUE 072400 POC Helen B. Warren 919-286-6920 Contractor to provide community based transitional housing for homeless veterans. Services will be furnished to beneficiaries for whom such care is specifically authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The type of patients to be cared for under this contract may require care and services abovethe level of room and board. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to have the facility furnished with furniture that is in good condition and equipment that's in good operating condition. Facility must have current occupancy permit or license requiredby the aurhority having jurisdiction and must conform tothe Life Safety Code and all applicable state, city and federal requirements for fire, health and safety codes/requirements. Must have a supervised environment with 24 hour staffing and at least one live-in staff member, Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Service which include structured activities, variety of group activities, supportive social services, individual professional counseling, support for an alcohol/drug abuse-free lifestyle, etc. The keeping of records and reports on the Veterans will be required.
