The project consists of furnishing all plant, supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation and performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Removal of all friable and category II asbestos from the buildings containing asbestos to be demolished. Demolition of buildings (12 each) is to include but not be limited to all foundations, docks, culverts, sidewalks, all bituminous and concrete pavements, steps, retaining walls, trees, abandoned utility poles, fencing, signs, metal towers or any other appurtenances. Cap water and gas lines at the main and abandon in place, and plug all sanitary sewer services at the main and abandon in place. Cap fire protection water lines at the main. Grade sites back to their original ground contours and seed. Proposed contract will be a Firm Fixed Type. Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 30 June 2000, with bid opening on or about 3 August 2000. The basic item of two buildings is funded and will be awarded, theremaining buildings will be option items which may or may not be awarded within 120 days after award of the contract. There will be a site visit on or about 18 July 2000. This procurement is unrestricted, and will fall under the Services Contract Act. The estimated cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for the acquisition is 1795. The Small Business Size Standard is $7.0 Mil annual receipts.
