Hamel, Contracting Officer Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules, and drawings forming parts thereof, for the upgrade of the fire alarm system in Building 36, Section A. Work is to include demolition of existing Pyrotronics fire alarm devices and installation of new Notifier devices. The new system will need to be programmed into the existing campus-wide Notifier system. The work shall be performed by an electrical contractor who has several years experience in the installation of intelligent/addressable type fire alarm installation. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 210 calendar days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Govenrment services. The approximate cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The SIC code for this project is 1731, size standard $7.0M.
