In addition to the requirements of the original synopsis, The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD also intends to include as an option to the subject solicitation, fatigue testing efforts associated with the machining of the Pitch Link Assembly, P/N 423R3358. Since the Pitch Link Assembly is a flight critical component of the H-46 aircraft, and is part of the H-46 Dynamic Component Upgrade program, Boeing Helicopter is the only company qualified to perform this effort. Boeing Helicopter is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the H-46 aircraft and is the only company with the unique experience and technical expertise to perform testing as necessary on components associated with the H-46.
