This is a modification of the notice posted on the Volpe Web Site on May 6, 2000 entitled Electronic Intelliscore Account Data. The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has a requirement to receive Experian Commercial Intelliscore credit risk scoring data each month. Experian on-line business profile reports, automatic alert notifications and user technical support during normal business hours (Eastern Time) also are required. In addition, Experian Small Business Intelliscore Data without the business owner data will be added as an option. The data files to and from the Volpe Center will be transmitted electronically as ASCII files; the files will comprise a relatively constant list of firms. The Experian Commercial Intelliscore results are required within ten (10) business days after receipt of the monthly input file. The Experian Commercial Intelliscore process includes corporate linkage capabilities that track the credit status of diversified corporations, parent companies, and subsidiaries as a group. The Experian Commercial Intelliscore is based on Experian s proprietary algorithm that looks at several factors in determining a standard single numerical score. In addition, Experian s proprietary databases are the only known sources of information gathered monthly by third parties, ensuring a unique combination of currency and objectivity. The Volpe Center is developing a decision support system that incorporates financial data of firms in the transportation industry. Experian has demonstrated the capability to provide Commercial Intelliscore account details in a precise numerical format that can be used directly by the Volpe Center for its system. The period of performance is one (1) year with three (3), one (1) year options. Detailed specifications will be set forth in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 10, 2000. The solicitation will be available in text format on the Internet at http://www.volpe.dot.gov/procure/index.html, the Volpe Center Acquisition Division s home page. Contractors desiring to receive electronic notification of the solicitation s posting and availability for downloading may register to receive the notice at the Volpe Center web site. Contractors are warned that when they register to receive solicitations, amendments, and other notices, the responsibility for providing the Government with an accurate and complete e-mail address lies with the Contractor. The Government will make no additional effort to deliver information when the system indicates that transmissions can not be delivered to the e-mail address provided. NO HARD COPIES of the solicitation will be issued. Telephone requests will not be honored. This notice is for informational purposes for minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has an assistance program available to minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts.
