The Social Security Administration (SSA) is in search of contractors capable of fulfilling a maintenance and support requirement for Government-owned Executone Isotec 108, 228, & 432 telephone switching systems. Maintenance will be for approximately 520 SSA offices located throughout the Continental United States and its territories. This will be a one-year award, with 4 one-year options beginning in Fiscal Year 2001. Maintenance and support service shall be provided for systems that consist of but not limited to, switching devices, station equipment. InfoStar/VX voice mail/auto attendant (up to 16 ports/system) automatic call distributors, battery back-up systems, paging systems, power supplies, voltage protection devices, power failure systems, T1 carrier cards, multiplexer interfaces, CRTs, printers, answer/record devices, data interface equipment, as well as cable distribution from the demarcation point established by the local serving regulated telephone company to the system. In addition, maintenance and support service shall also include time changes (twice yearly), a complete inventory list of equipment in Excel to be kept by the vendor and submitted to the Government on a monthly basis, riser and feeder cable, station equipment and ancillary equipment cable. Maintenance shall include labor, documentation, repair parts, supplies, tools, test equipment, transportation (including site visit) and other related maintenance services to keep all equipment in good operational condition. Maintenance requirements shall consist of remedial (routine and emergency call-out) and preventive (scheduled) maintenance, on-site and remote reprogramming, service observation, remote diagnostics, replacement of equipment that cannot be repaired, system relocation, office moves and modular furniture installation. Executone Information Systems is the only known source capable of satisfying SSA's requirements. Therefore, SSA must be assured that any other vendor responding to this notice will have parts available to them in order to perform equipment repairs. Other organizations possessing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA contract information, brochures, past performance references, network of maintenance personnel, licenses or certifications) within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication.
