The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, has a requirement for eight (8) each Chassis, 19" Rack Drive Mount, P/N 3166-05 and twenty-four (24) each Optical Disk Drive, P/N 3765-22. This is a sole source requirement for specific make and model equipment from Mountain Optech, Inc., Boulder CO. The equipment being procured is part of a tasking to duplicate the commercial hardware and software at the AEGIS Combat Training Systems (ACTS) developed for the AEGIS Baseline 6P3 suites at the AEGIS land based facilities. Three systems each will be incorporated into the AEGIS Baseline 6P3 suites at the Surface Combat Systems Center, Wallops Island, VA and the AEGIS Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, VA, and two systems will be integrated at AEGIS Combat Center in Dahlgren, VA. The systems being built must replicate the system developed by Lockheed Martin at the Combat Systems Engineering Development Suite in Moorestown, NJ in order to maintain compatibility. The Mountain Optech P/Ns 3166-05 and3765-22 will duplicate existing equipment and thereby meet the compatibility requirement. Award is anticipated to be made by 30 June 2000 and delivery by 31 August 2000. A written solicitation will not be issued.
