99 -- CONFERENCE SERVICES// SOL N00189-00-T-H501 DUE 063000 POC Mrs. LaKeisha Hawkins, Contract Specialist, (757) 443-1384 The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type Purchase Order for Hotel Conference Services in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5 "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items" (CLINGER -- COHEN). The Period of Performance for the resulting Purchase Order will be from 14 August 2000 through 18 August 2000. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7011. Conference services include lodging, meals, classroom set-up, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, transportation, and administrative support for 320 people. Hotel must be in a 25 mile proximity to the Norfolk Naval Base, and a have a 3-star or above rating. Hotel must be equipped with two conference room facilities to support 125 people, two conference rooms to support 30-35 people, and one conference room to support 100 people. Hotel must have classroom support to include audio-visual equipment. Hotel must have adequate dinner hall to accommodate catered social dinner. Contractors are reminded to submit a technical description of the hotel in accordance with FAR 52.212-1 (b) (4). All responsible sources must submit pricing and past performance data by 4:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due.
