The RFP includes two documents that are not approved for public release = (Classified SRD annex and the ALEP Security Classification Guide (DD = 254 addendum)). The information in these documents is essential for = proposal preparation/submittal. As cited in CBD notice #D-154 SN461008, each offeror must submit their = CAGE Code and classified fax phone number for security verification. = If classified fax number is not available, please provide a classified = mailing address. The release of the two documents mentioned above will require two = actions: (1) Verification by Defense Investigation Services of your = company’s security status (Any offerors who have not submitted = their CAGE Code and classified fax number/mailing address previously, = must submit this information ASAP). (2) Official request of these documents shall be submitted to the = contracting officer via email to ana.jimenez@brooks.af.mil. The Aircrew Laser Eye Protection program is to develop and field Laser = Eye Protection in the ultra violet and near infrared spectrum regions, = that will not jeopardize safety of flight or degrade mission = accomplishment within the user operational environment. The PDRR = effort includes design, development, and risk reduction via limited = testing. The government contemplates a separate EMD/Production = contract (at a later date to be determined), which includes design = refinement, qualification testing and deployment of the ALEP devices to = meet operational capability and sustainment. The Government’s = intent is to award this PDRR effort to two contractors in accordance = with AFFARS Source Selection procedures (full and open competition).
