B -- MONITORING OF CASH AND COMMODITY LETTER OF CREDIT SITES SOL RFP-FNS-0-008BRC POC Bernice Cockrell 703-305-2453 The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service(FNS)intends to issue a competitive solicitation to monitor 59 school districts operating under the Commodity Letter of Credit(CLOC)alternatives from October 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001. This solicitation will provide for the implementation and monitoring of all procedures associated with CLOC for school year 2000-2001. The estimated level of effort is 1.0 -- 1.5 person years over a period of 9 months. Four option years of performance are expected to be included in the Request for Proposal(RFP). This procurement has been designated as a 100 percent small business set-aside. A Fixed price contract is anticipated. The RFP will be released on or about July 14, 2000.
