WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT WITS). The Air
Force intends to award a multiple award task order indefinite delivery
indefinite quantity contract under the 8(a) program (IAW FAR 19.8) for
cost effective IT support. The contract will support both time and
materials tasks and fixed-priced tasks. The contract duration will be
five years. Support shall be provided for host and tenant organizations
at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) including associated remote
sites. Minimum services shall consist of the following: Systems
engineering, long range IT strategic planning, database design, data
administration, software customization, video teleconferencing
operation support, imaging and electronic document management systems
support, support for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and Government-
unique software, communications and network operations support, user
support and problem resolution, product support training, test and
evaluation support, hardware/software installation, configuration and
inventory management, software and hardware trouble- shooting and
analysis, information assurance compliance, desktop services, and Web
development and administration. This will be a best value award. This
selection will be based on the criteria cited in the RFP. The
Government reserves the right to award to other than the contractor
with the lowest price. Policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition
of Commercial Items, will not be used in this solicitation for this
service All information regarding this acquisition will be posted on

will be available via the website beginning 02 Jul 99. The final
solicitation (RFP) will be available via the website on or about 10 Aug
99. Hard copies are not available. The approximate response date will
be 01 Oct 99. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests
received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible
sources may submit an offer, which will beconsidered. Only small
businesses that are in the SBA 8(a) program will be considered. Mr.

The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns,
issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate
government personnel. Existence of the Ombudsman does not diminish the
authority of the program director or the contracting officer.
