The contractor is ACS/Government Solutions Group, Inc., One Curie Court, Rockville, MD, 20850. This contract provides processing, development and maintenance associated with the Federal Direct Student Loan Servicing Systems and Central Database Subsystem, for the postsecondary student aid programs established under Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965, as amended. ACS Government Solutions Group, Inc. is the only source possessing the necessary existing information, resources, expertise and facilities to meet this program requirement during the retirement of this system. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1).
