The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award one contract for GED/ESL Instruction. All duties will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution/Federal Prison Camp, in Elkton, Ohio. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing two courses of study in the areas of: General Equivalency Degree(GED) Programs and English as a Second Language (ESL). The contractor will teach and manage classroom studies for select individuals from the inmate population. Students shall gain a general understanding of: Writing Skills, Social Studies, Literature/Arts, Mathematics, in preparation for the GED Examination. English as a Second Language(ESL) Programs will be instructed at general english proficiency levels of a grade 8 level. Minimum qualifications include a four-year degree in a education-related/teaching field of study. A past or existing teaching certification is preferred, however, meeting the qualification standards to achieve certification is adequate. The term of the contract will be from date of award through 12 months. The contractor will perform 5 -- 6/hour sessions per week.
