The work includes, but not limited to, construction of Thunderbolt Tower (a rappelling tower and rope bridge training complex). The base bid for the project will include structural steel assembly, rope bridge, safety nets and surrounding sawdust pit. Additives will include perimeter chain link security fence and 8' x 8' storage building. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This procurement is set-aside for small businesses under Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 1629. Currently, the small business size standard is $17,000,000.00. Effective 17 July 2000, the size standard for SIC 1629 will be changed to $27,500,000.00. Award will be made on the size standard in effect at the time of contract award. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 7 July 2000 and issued on a first-come, first-serve basis. A bid opening date has not yet been established.
