Description of work: This project consists of maintenance dredging of the Savannah Harbor from Station 112+500 to 50+000 plus turning basins. Dredging will require removal of approximately 3,000,000 cubic/yr of maintenance material. Material will be placed in adjacent disposal areas. This is a multiple year contract giving the government the option to extend the contract into a second and third year. An option may be exercised before the expiration of the base contract period (or preceding option period)if the contract amount for the base period (or preceding option period) has been exhausted or nearly exhausted. In addition there is approximately 150,000 cy of new work dredging in the Fig Island Turning Basin during the first year only of the contract. Network Analysis System will not be required. Estimated cost range of project is from $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00.
