&LocID=494. E-MAIL: Carol Anton, canton@fdcclant.uscg.mil. The U. S.
Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition
for HUBZone concerns only. The estimated magnitude of this construction
project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The applicable
Standard Industry Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is
1542 and the small business size standard is $17 Million. The
acquisition is for the Rehab of U. S. Coast Guard Station Shinnecock,
Hampton Bays, New York. The scope of the project is to remove two
existing building wings (462 square feet), reduce floor area in attic
by 520 square feet, rehabilitate 10,375 square feet, add 1,652 square
feet for stairs and 1,773 square feet for needed admin area, yielding
a station building of +/-13,800 square feet. The Station Building will
house the administrative, communications, unaccompanied personnel
berthing, dining and recreation functions of the station. The interior
of the existing building will be totally demolished except for two
fireplaces and chimneys that extend up through the roof. Wings at
either side of the building and the rear terrace will be demolished as
well. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued
under full and open competition procedures. However, in accordance with
FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit an
offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to
canton@fdcclant.uscg.mil. In your response include: (a) a positive
statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a
prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type
and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts,
and points of contacts and telephone numbers; and, (c) a positive
statement of your remaining bonding capability. Your response is
requested by 07 July 2000. All of the above must be submitted in
sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of
interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information
requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an
interested HUBZone concern. A decision on whether this will be pursued
as a HUBZone small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will
be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site. Posted
