surface preparation, applying a bituminous seal coat and cover
aggregate, sweeping up excess aggregate, applying a fog seal coat, and
striping approximately 6.37 miles of the Generals Highway in Sequoia
National PArk, Tulare County, California, from the Park Boundary to
Hospital Rock. The work area includes variable width mainline, approach
aprons, parking areas, pullouts, etc. Some of the mainline areas have
native stone valley gutters on either side. Other portions have native
stone retaining walls, and parking areas and pullouts have native
stone curbing. Native stone work must be protected from spatter and
overspray of bituminous material. The Contactor will be responsible for
the removal of any overspray from the native stone work. There are
approximately 46 drop inlet grates and numerous electrical and
telephone vault covers needing protection. Striping will include a
double yellow centerline, 4" wide fog lines, and various stop lines,
pedestrian crosswalks, parking lot striping, etc. There is a Base Bid
and one Bid Additive. The Government Estimate for this work is between
$100,000 and $250,000. All responsible bidders may submit a bid,
