This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 701810Q035 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This acquisition and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. This is a Small Business Set Aside with a Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code of 3732 with 500 or less employees. This RFQ is for 1 each 28 ft Aluminum landing craft. A detailed description is as follows: Sides to be preformed 3/16" 5052 marine grade aluminum. 36" high with 3/4" radius 1/2 rounds formed 12" o/c, then formed to provide 2 1/2" vertical area to a 6" wide gun'le deck with 2" vertical drop with 1" return. Bottom to be 3/16" 5052 marine grade aluminum. 8'wide material with a varying dead rise of 12 degrees at the transom increasing to 28 degrees at the bow. Deck will be 3/16" 5052 marine grade aluminum tread plate continuous welded 10" above the chine. Entire void space below deck to be pressure tested. Four deck mounted pad eyes welded at the intersection of the deck and side plates. Full length tie rail with 2" standoffs welded every 20". Four 8" aluminum welded cleats. Framing: transverse bulkheads to be installed 30" o/c continuous weld with 3" longtitudinal stifferners 12" o/c the full length of vessel. Ramp: landing craft style dropping bow door. Door must have 72" minimum loading width and a hand operated raising and lowering winch. Ramp deck will be 3/16" 5052 tread plate aluminum. Cabin dimensions: 102" wide, 72" long, with a center height of 76". The forward bulkhead will contain a port and starboard (P&S) window with a door mounted mid-ship. The door will be hung to swing inward. P&S windshields will be sloped forward at the top. P&S dashboards mounted from bulkhead to doorframe. Two pedestal mounted adjustable swivel seats, one portside and the helmsman seat starboard side. Aft bulkhead to have a center mounted access hatch 24" x 36" allowing access to the outboard motor splash well. Full width bench seat with storage below and removable cushion. Overhead shall have insulated headliner. Remainder of the interior to be painted with Zolatone enhanced graystone covering. Roof of cabin to have full-length grab bars port and starboard sides. Masthead and light bar mounting platforms will be installed. P&S 40 gal saddle tanks mounted on the deck forward of the wheelhouse. Welded heavy duty boweye. Welded zincs. Full width splashwell for outboard mounting (25" shaft). All glass to be 1/4" tinted safety, rubber mounted. All fastenings will be stls steel and aluminum. L.O.A. 28 ft, beam 9' 6"; hull type planing monohedron w/varying deadrise; hull plate 5052 marine grade aluminum; hull arrangement landing craft style w/aft cabin and bow door; power propulsion and mechanical electrical US Fish & Wildlife to provide and install, trailer not provided.
