Aviation Depot, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for the
procurement of a digital, PC Controlled, low vacuum scanning electron
microscope to include installation and training. The following features
are required: (1) Must be a state of the art computer controlled system
with manual override of key operating functions;, must support a
variety of analytical attachments including an Energy Dispersive X-Ray
System; (2) Provide the capability of observing samples over a wide
range of discreet accelerating voltages; (3) Must have the capability
of observing uncoated samples by means of a differentially evacuated
sample chamber equipped with a backscattered electron detector (BEI);
(4)Desired pressure must be maintained by a fully automatic pressure
control with manual override.; (5) Must be capable to quickly switch
sample chamber from the differentially evacuated (low pressure) mode of
operation to that of a traditional high vacuum Scanning Electron
Microscope mode where imaging is possible by either a secondary
electron detector (SEI) or the (BEI). Deliver FOB Destination MCAS,
