BoBo, (202) 307-1940 The Department of Justice (DOJ), using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, in accordance with FAR Part 13, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Treasury Strategies of Chicago, IL to perform an independent verification and validation analysis of DOJ's risk analysis plan for the implementation of the new Financial Management Information System (FMIS/FMIS2). The new FMIS2 will be implemented Department wide and used in over 300 physical locations. Due to time frames driven by law and Federal policy for financial systems with regard to certification, accreditation and audit of security controls, DOJ has determined that it is critical to have the contractor commence the analysis work no later than June 30, 2000 in an effort to provide DOJ with a final report by September 30, 2000. Responses received as a result of this notice is for information purposes only and shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive Procurement. Responses will not be consideredas either a proposal or bid. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Note 1 applies.
