This synopsis serves only as early notice of these plans. This synopsis is not announcing a Request for Proposal nor are there any solicitation materials available. This is merely notice that this procurement is forthcoming. Due to the large size and complex nature of this contract, prospective contractors may desire to begin preparation early. Base year performance is scheduled to commence on 1 October 2001. The contract period includes the base year and nine option years for a total possible performance period of ten years. This will be a combination firm fixed price and indefinite quantity contract with award fee provisions. Base Operating Services are currently provided under Contract N62467-95-D-0778 which expires 30 September 2001. FOIA requests for the current contract are available for download free of charge via the Internet World Wide Web at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil under Solicitation N62467-00-R-3170.
