The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire IAW FAR part 12, as a commercial items acquisition, under full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR part 13 for mobile MRI services in support of Naval hospital Great Lakes, IL. The required services consists of the following: The successful quoter will provide a mobile MRI system to perform a full array of pulse sequences and physiologic synchronized studies of the body and extremities. The mobile unit shall consist of a scan room, operator control room, checkin area, dress area, rest room and administrative area. The mobile units shall be on site at NAVHOSP Great Lakes two days a week at least ten hours per day. The Government will be soliciting proposals for both a 1.0 and a 1.5 tesla strength mobile system. The determination on which system to use will be at the discretion of the Government. The estimated # of scans that will be performed if a 1.0 system is used is 15 per day, and 20 scans per day if a 1.5 system is used. The period of performance for this requirement will be for 12 months starting 1 Oct 00, and will have up to four one year option periods. The SIC code for this acquisition effort is 8049.
