International Development's mission to West Bank & Gaza intends to seek
proposals from qualified U.S organizations to provide technical
assistance for the period of three years (36 months), with an option
period of two years (24 months), on the promotion of industrial zones
and investment mobilization (prizim) as further described in section
"c" of the pending RFP. These services will provide institutional
support to the Palestinian industrial estate and free zone authority
(piefza) to effectively monitor, regulate and promote industrial estate
and free zone development in the West Bank and Gaza. These services
will also provide targeted technical assistance in the development of
specific industrial or technology estates and analytic support on trade
related logistical issues impacting Palestinian commerce and will
provide support to the Palestinian investment promotion agency (pipa)
in implementing its broad investment promotion mandate for the West
Bank and Gaza. It is anticipated that a cost reimbursement type
contract will be awarded for the services specified therein. Interested
organizations may obtain full text of the RFP(once issued)by notifying
USAID/West Bank & Gaza of their interest, preferably by email or in
writing to Mr. Tim Beans at the above contact points, citing RFP number
294-2000-012; or from the internet site given below. The RFP will be
issued not less than 15 days after publication of this notice. Requests
for copies of the RFP should be made in writing to the contact person
as noted above. Please do not submit more than one request per
organization, additional requests may not be honored. The preferred
method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the
Internet. This cbd notice can be viewed and downloaded using the agency
web site. The RFP, once issued, can be downloaded from the agency web
site. The worldwide web address is http://www.info.usaid.gov. Select
business and procurement opportunities from the home page, then "USAID
procurements." On the following screen, select "download available
USAID solicitations." Receipt of this RFP through the Internet must be
confirmed by written notification to the contact person noted above.
