Replace Air Conditioning in Bldg 6825, 3rd floor at BAFB LA. SCOPE OF
WORK, AWUB 000123 Demolition: Disconnect existing Fan coil units
(Ceiling and Floor type) and remove from space. Disconnect Condensate
piping and terminate under floor slab. Disconnect existing shower head
piping and plug vertical roof drain. Reroute existing fire alarm
conduit to the egress door outside building. Remove and dispose
materials to dump site off Base. Cap chilled water mains (supply and
return) after removing branch pipes and Fan Coil units. NEW HVAC
system: 1- Provide AHU units with Hot/Chilled Water coil as scheduled
below. Outdoor Air Intake through the wall or through the roof shall be
equipped with bird screen. 2- Provide ceiling return grills as shown on
the layout. Locate grills within the ceiling's panels. 3- Locate the
Indoor unit above ceiling of the Break Area. 4- Provide duct as shown
on the floor plan. Sheet Metal work shall be manufactured from 22 gauge
and IAW SMACNA standard. Provide shop drawing before you proceed with
installation. 5- Ceiling diffusers and return grills shall be equipped
with Volume control to balance the system. 6- Provide Summer /Winter
thermostat with dead band region. No Heating or cooling shall be
provided during the dead band region. Upon call for cooling the space
thermostats shall activate the three-way control valve on the Unit coil
until space is satisfied. Fan shall run continuously on the On-Position
shut down on the Off-Position. On the Auto position the fan shall
circulate on/off to maintain 60 F in the space. Provide Outside air
controller that will shut off Outside Air Damper if outside air
temperature falls below 35 F and open it when temperature shall rise
above 40F. 7- Provide conduit 3/4 " dia, (4)#8 wiring to feed the
condensing unit from existing closet on the third floor. Power Source,
MCA 32, ICF 80, CIRCUIT BREAKER (OR FUSE) 100 8- Provide Chilled/Hot
Water heating coil with three-way control valve. Coil shall be sized
for 10.5 and 18.5 Gallons per minute Chilled water and 10 F temperature
drop across the coil. Connect the Chilled/Hot water coil to the
existing 4" Inch supply and return on the first floor. 9- Clean space
from construction debris and remove all excess material after
completion of the work. 10- Insulate duct with at least one inch thick
duct insulation. 11- Run 1 1/2 Inch condensate line from the Interior
AHU to existing condensate pipes at the break area or provide indirect
connection to existing roof drain. Provide PVC check ball valve before
the indirect connection to prevent storm water to get into space. 12-
Arrange with the user to disconnect all Chilled/Hot water pipes on
Saturday and is to be plugged and completed in one day. 13- Insulate
all new Hot/Chilled Water supply and Return. 14- Insulate condensate
piping. 15- Provide Condensate pan under coil. Provide a P-Trap on the
condensate line. 16- Connect the Hot/Chilled coil to Supply/Return on
the first floor, use 2" dia copper pipe. Provide Circuit setter on the
return pipe of each coil. Set the circuit setters to the flows
indicated below. 17- Provide isolating Ball Valves to be able to
isolate the coils. Provide Automatic vents at the highest points of the
pipe route. Provide manual vent / or Automatic vent on the coils. 18-
Provide 500CFM Roof Turbine. Install where existing roof Intake duct is
located. Flash the existing roof around Roof Turbine. 19- All Ceiling
Diffusers and Return grills shall be located within future ceiling at
8 feet high from the finished floor. Flexible duct length shall not
