Sullivan, Jr., Contracting Officer, (202) 565-5224 The Project will involve design and construction services for the vertical expansion of the existing Building 26 and include construction of a partial Third Floor and a full Fourth and Fifth Floors which will connect to the existing Building 1. The Bldg. 26 Elevators and the Elevator Lobby have already been extended to the Fifth Floor. The new Third Floor areas will include two separate areas of 10,491 GSF to provide a new finished area for SPD and an unfinished area. The new Fourth Floor will include 29,234 GSF to be used as Mechanical/Electrical interstitial space to support the new 3rd and 5th Floors areas. The new Fifth Floor area will include 32,429 GSF to provide new finished area for the Surgical Suite and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), including 3,300 SF of unfinished space. A new Basement Floor entrance and drop-off, parking lot and other site work will also be included. Mechanical/Electrical systems will include HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, chillers, electrical and communications systems to support the new SPD, Surgery and PACU areas. The Project will include restrictions on use-of-site, working hours, use of elevators, phasing and time of construction. Building 26 is the primary Outpatient, Emergency and Intensive Care Unit facility for the Medical Center.
