The procurement is for the purchase of two GPT 38 KHZ Splitbeam Transceivers, one GPT 120 KHZ Splitbeam transceiver, two EK60 Processor Units, and internet switch and two Bergen Echo Integrator Upgrade from Unix to PC Version for NOAA research vessels. Equipment shall be delivered within 30 days after contract award, FOB Destination to Seattle, WA. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Simrad, Inc., as we believe this is the only source which produces equipment that is optimized for large-scale marine surveys and has an integrated postprocessing systems (echo integrator). All interested concerns must submit documentation demonstrating the capability of providing equivalent equipment including the integrator, which is also compatible with existing Simrad transducers and existing analytical software and database management systems by July 24, 2000.
