COMPACT DISC REPRODUCTION -- The requirement is for reproduction of Compact Discs -- Read Only -- Memory (CD-ROM). The specifications require making CD-ROM masters/stampers from Government furnished pre-mastered data; 3 CD-ROM title replications shall be provided in 2 color printing of titles on discs. One 2 disc set shall be provided in 4 color titles on the discs. The four disc mailers shall be constructed with 4 die-cut pockets. Each pocket shall be completely covered with a protective flap. The mailer shall be heat sealed for mailing with tamper-proof adhesive and have a tear-open strip with an integral tuck-in tab and slit for reclosing. Flat size of individual mailing container before construction shall be 10-13/16" x25"7/8" The mailer should be die-cut, scored, and folded to a final size for mailing of 5 5/8" x 4 7/8". The mailers shall be constructed of SBS board of 12-18 pt. The final size of mailer shall be 5"x5". A disc title label shall be affixed to each mailer including disc title and date of issue. The single (wallet mailer) shall be constructed of SBS board (12-18 pt) die-cut and glued. It shall then be shrink wrapped, using heavy gauge shrink film. a. Disc identification. HMIS L JUL 2000, will be printed vertically in 25 pt Benguiat Bk BT, or similar, font, in Pantone Blue 072-CV, on the right side of the mailer's external front and back surfaces. b. Disc identification. HMIS LR JUL 2000, will be printed vertically in 22 pt Benguiat Bk BT, or similar, font, in Pantone Red 193-CV, on the right side of the mailer's external front and back surfaces. The two-disc requirement shall be inserted into an SBS 12-18 pt board mailer. The two-discs shall be separated by a slip sheet and shrink wrapped. A disc title label shall be affixed to each mailer including disc title and date of issue. Total packaging, mail list maintenance, analysis and preparation of postal forms; mail label printing, and mailing shall be included in cost proposal. The government will provide Federal Express expense. Total mailing costs shall be included in contractor proposal. Mailers provided shall be acceptable by United States Postal System. Mailings are for the United except for an estimated 500 OCONUS addresses. A sample of each mailer shall be approved by the designated representative at SSC Charleston, Norfolk prior to use. Any replacements for initially approved mailer shall be approved prior to use. External front surface of the 4-disc sets and single disc sets shall contain ship to address and a return address on the same label. A title label shall contain the disc name and issue date on all mailers. Individual address information will be provided by the SCC Charleston, Norfolk Office upon award of requirement. Identification of each disc title shall be provided on disc front surface of the folded mailer. This solicitation is for a 4-disc set with a quantity of 4319 sets -- 3873 CD Sets mailed; a 4-disc set with a quantity of 3632 disc sets -- 2852 CD Sets mailed; a single disc with a quantity of 7850 discs -- 7217 CD Sets mailed and a double disc set with a quantity of 3420 sets -- 0 discs mailed. The quantities for the actual orders may vary by + or -- 10%. Delivery schedule is within 5 -- 7 workdays after receipt of pre-mastered data. Timely delivery is critical. Contractor shall have capability for CD mastering, CD replication, printing and assembly of mailers, and mailing.
