Circulation statistics will be compared with contemporary satellite altimetry, wind stress, and hydrographic climatologies, as well as with previous drifter-based studies. Special regional emphasis will be placed on the mean and seasonally-varying circulation in the vicinity of the Gulf Stream and its eastward extension and the Labrador Current. These results will be presented at the meetings of the American Geophysical Union and the Topex/Posieidon science working team and in scientific journals.
