This procurement action is for Engineering and technical services for NAWCADLKE in conjunctions with DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) for conducting advanced engineering development of new concepts in large phased array radars, reconfigurable apertures, and advanced AEW systems. These technologies include designs and fabrication techniques that can be applied to the production of large (5-50 sq. meters) phased-array antennas at an affordable cost. The goal is to maximize the power-aperture product, given limited prime power, cost, and weight budgets. Potential applications are those that allow the antenna system to occupy a large physical volume but limit the allowable weight and prime power consumption, such as aerostat or sea-based platforms. The Government intents to solicit these services from the M&T Company, of Pottstown, Pa. due to their extensive past experience in the development of the technologies associated with airborne ESA fir control systems and RADAR systems.
