The Defense Supply Service-Washington intends to award a contract for The Department of Defense to conduct courses during 2001 that provide for the most up-to-date thinking on the core principles of management in the Defense arena. The courses include a six-week program for 50 senior managers, two-week program for 50 executives, and a 2-1/2 day seminar (a minimum of one session and a maximum of two sessions) for 25 top level Defense executives. All programs are to be resident programs at a site designated by the contractor and designed for civilian and military personnel. The contract also includes the research and preparation of a minimum of one and a maximum of five case studies on national and international security that impact on the Defense decision-making process. This contract will be a base year and include options for four additional years.
