The US Army Acqusition Center, Natick Contracting Division, has a requirement for roof repairs on 6 houses at the Needham Military Family Housing Area in Needham, Ma. to include removal and disposal of all existing shingles,gutters, downspout, and soffits. The underlayment will be replaced as necessary and new ridge vents, new ice dam membrane per code and new aluminum drip edge shall be installed. The chimney shall be repointed, and encapsulated with aluminum and the flashing shall be replaced as necessary. New asphalt shingles that carry a 25 year warranty shall be installed. New soffit panels with "F" type supports shall be installed as well as new 3" x 5" aluminum gutters, elbows, and downspouts.All material and excess shall be removed from the housing area. Any trim and fascia that is marked up will be painted. This acquisition is one hundred per cent(100%)set-aside for Small Business. The anticipated amount is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this procurement is 1761 and the Small Business Size Standard is 7.0. The Government anticipates awarding a single Firm Fixed Price Contract.
