The Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters (NAVAIR) intends to issue a modification under contract N00019-99-C-1127 with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems (LMAS) Company, 86 South Cobb Drive, Marietta, GA 30063 to incorporate Airframe Change 285 into the Integrated Maintenance Concept (IMC) portion of the contract (CLIN 0106). This requirement is for emergency repair of five IMC prototype S-3 aircraft. This action will be negotiated on a sole source basis with LMAS under statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other service will satisfy agency requirements), as LMAS is the only company which possesses the necessary technical expertise, engineering drawings and data to provide the services in the required timeframe.
