Textile Brake is used to bring a disabled aircraft to a safe stop when the pilot is unable to accomplish this. The energy absorbers are joined across the runway by a steel cable. The cable and energy absorbers are connected together by nylon straps. The cable is sustained 2-1/2" above the ground by cable sipports for aircraft engagement.
