This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to: 1. Extend the due date for receipt of offers from June 27, 2000 to 4:00 p.m. on June 30, 2000. 2. Extend the delivery date from July 31, 2000 to November 1, 2000. 3. In the RFQ, delete clause 52.232.34 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer -- Other than Central Contractor Registration (31 U.S.C. 3332. 4. Respond to the following questions. (a)The synopsis says that the rear side of the P2 connectors shall not have shrouds. Does this mean that the rear of the P2 connectors shall have short pins that do not accept a mating connector? No, they will have short pins, but we may have occasion to attach a mating connector to it. Or do you want the long pins for a mating connector, but just without a shroud? Standardlong pins will be acceptable. (b)The VME64X backplane has a 3.3V option on it. Are the cards being inserted into the chassis requiring the 3.3V? Yes, we want a fully functional VME64X backplane. (c) I would like to know the maximum height I can go on the chassis. The rack alone is 6U (10.5"High). There is no max height requirement. We do not want a chassis that takes up an entire rack height. Any reasonable height will be considered. (d) The chassis typically comes with (3) 90CFM Fans would you require anything greater than that? No. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on June 20, 2000.
