This procurement is for a basic quantity of six (6) paint dispensers to be used aboard US Navy ships. The US Navy designed system is essentially an air-tight container which has the capability to store up to 25 gallons of paint without the paint curing, maintain the paint homogeneity via a re-circulation system, and dispense paint in variable quantities. The dispenser is fabricated and welded from 304-grade stainless steel in accordance with Navy drawing number PD-PDS-7. All auxiliary parts, including the air diaphragm mixing pump, and all tubing, valves and fittings are standard off-the-shelf commercial items. This contract will be a firm fixed priced indefinite delivery indefinite quantity for quantities up to 750 units for a five year ordering period.The Government may consider multiple contract awards during the evaluation, if determined to be in the best interest of the Government. Small business set-aside code 3499 is applicable. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government based on past performance, past experience, technical and price considered.
