The XRD will be utilized in mineral identification and environmental research. It will be used to identify metal compounds in the soil before and after treatment process. The system shall have the following characteristics: 1. Programmable diffracted beam optics, 2. Low background/high Resolution data collection, 3. Direct Optical positioning system, 4. Cu,Mo, and Co ceramic interchangeable X-ray tubs, 5. Software Package including data collector, graphics, and large library for pattern recognition and matching, 6. Sample changer and spinner system for up to 15 positions without the need for realignment. This is a combined synopsis/RFQ for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation/RFQ; proposals are being accepted, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is CLN069, and is hereby issued as an RFQ. The delivery and acceptance will be made at USEPA, Cincinnati, OH 45268.
