Awards will be made to the responsible contractor whose proposal conforms to the RFP, will be most advantageous to the Government resulting in the Best Value, cost or price and other factors considered. All work to be in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for Project VGLZ 969529, "Replace Fire/Crash Rescue Station" at Selfridge ANG Base MI. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Source selection procedures will be utilized to determine awardee in accordance with FAR 15.3. Significant evaluation criteria for the contract in descending order of importance are (1) Project Management ability with an emphasis on Key Management Staff, quality control plan, technical support staff and financial capability; (2) Subcontracting support capability, with an emphasis on subcontract management, identification of key subcontractors, and purchasing system/level of subcontracting; (3) Company experience; (4) Past Performance; and (5) Price. Proposed solicitation is unrestricted with a SIC of 1542 and a size standard of $17 million. Solicitation, plans and specifications will be available on or about 17 July 2000. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is 17 August 2000. All responsible sources must submit a proposal which shall be considered. Tentative issue date of solicitation is 17 July 2000.
