The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego (SSC SD) seeks sources and information related to the upgrade and/or replacement of the Precision Approach Radar (PAR) AN/FPN-63 or a system that provides talk down capability for air traffic control. The system is in use at various Air Stations worldwide. The purpose of this RFI is to identify potential sources that are capable of delivering the described upgrade or replacement. Due to the age of the current PAR system, the government is interested in a comparison of upgrading the current system versus replacing it in its entirety and which choice represents the best value. Interested parties must be able to demonstrate the ability of having developed, deployed, and provided life cycle support for comparable PAR systems. Interested parties must also be able to demonstrate the ability to work and provide verifiable experience of having worked on precision approach radar and landing systems. Interested parties should submit (1) Technical information and materials regarding proposed system including but not limited to performance capabilities, development and lifecycle costs, and possible delivery schedules (2) Brief description of relevant current and past projects, (3) Point of Contact information.
