The Joint Program Office for Biological Defense (JPO-BD), acting for the Department of Defense, anticipates issuing a solicitation for first article and full-scale production of immunochromatographic assays, used for the identification of up to 40 different biological warfare agents and 5 different types of training Hand Held Assays. All comments on the DRAFT solicitation will be reviewed and responses posted. However, to be considered for inclusion in the RFP, comments must be received by no later than 14 July 2000. JPO-BD intends to use an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type of contract. The Government anticipates awarding a minimum of one (1) and maximum of three (3), which will include a basic year of production and four one year options.
