Project consists of improving 3 (three) stream crossings and road surfacing on 5 (five) other sites on Forest Road 9N30 on the Eldorado National Forest, Placerville Ranger District. Items of work at 3 sites include, but not limited to: clearing & grubbing of debris in stream channel; reshape stream bed gravel; removal of culvert; removal of welded wire retaining structures; reconstructing approaches to stream crossing; machine-placed riprap; placing & compacting crushed aggregate base course; placing & compacting asphalt concrete surface course; seeding & mulching disturbed areas; and constructing low water crossings. The low water crossings include: minor structure excavation; reinforced structural concrete; fabrication & installation of structural steel cattle guard grates; and machine-placed riprap protection. Items of work at the other 5 sites include placing & compacting crushed aggregate base course; and placing & compacting asphalt concrete surface course. Estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Project is estimated to take 80 days to complete. There will be NO pre-proposal meeting or tour. To reach site from Placerville, travel East on State Highway 50 approximately 15 miles to the community of Pollock Pines, Sly Park road turnoff. Travel south on Sly Park road (E-16) approximately 5 miles to the junction of the "Mormon Emigrant Trail". Travel east on "Mormon Emigrant Trail" (10N50 & 5), approximately 11 miles to the junction of the "North-South Road" (10N83 & 6). Travel south on the North-South Road approximately 7.3 miles to the junction of Forest Road 9N30. Travel east on 9N30 approximately 0.4 miles to the first of 8 (eight) total project sites.
