All work must be performed in strict compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standard for Historic Preservation and National Park Service Guidelines for treatment of historic resources. The work mut be performed under the direct supervision of a contractor with previous successful experience on similar types of historic projects. References and certifications will be evaluated and/or verified. All lead removal work shall be perfomed by a Certified Contractor who shall define the means and methods in a plan for the specific conditions and perform the work in compliance with all Federal, State, local and regional laws, regulations, requirements and guidelines for the protection of employees and the environmental against lead. Contractor shall provide all materials, skilled labor and equipment to remove and dispose of all lead based paint on the exteriors of two small wooden structures, prepare exterior substrates, repaint and recaulk siding. Work also includes removal and replacement of contaminated soil and grass around the perimeters of the buildings, repair of deteriorated or brokwn window glazing and miscellaneous caulking. The structures are located at the side of the main house in Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site, Henderson County, North Carolina. Price Range: $25,000-$100,000.00. No phone request.
