This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only Request for Quotations; offers are being requested
and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number
RFQ00Q0067 is issued as a Request for Quotation through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-14. The SIC code for this item is 3663. The
United States Secret Service ("USSS") has a requirement for 1000 each,
wire palm microphones, beige in color. The following FAR Provisions
and Clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted: 52.212-1,
Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. 52.212-1. 52.212-2,
Evaluation -- Commercial Items; 52.212-2 (Addendum): Paragraph (a) is
deleted in its entirety and replaced with: "The USSS intends to award
a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible offeror with
acceptable past performance whose quotation represents the best value
to the USSS. The USSS will technically evaluate all items that have not
been used before by the USSS and a sample item will be required. Items
that are determined to be technically unacceptable will not be
considered for award. If two items are equal technically, price will be
the deciding factor. The Government may be willing to pay somewhat more
for technically superior items that significantly enhance the USSS'
ability to accomplish its mission." 52.212-4, Contract Terms and

The following clauses cited in 52.212-5 are applicable: 52.222-21,

Vietnam Era; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with
Disabilities; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and
Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.225-3, Buy American Act-Supplies;
52.225-9, Buy American Act-Trade Agreements Act-Balance of Payments
Program; 52.232-34, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Other than
Central Contractor Registration. These FAR Provisions and Clauses may

Telephone requests for copies of FAR Provisions and/or Clauses will not
be accepted. The Contractor shall deliver the complete quantity, FOB
Destination with all freight included in the delivered price. Delivery
to be made to: U.S. Secret Service -- IRMD, Washington Navy Yard, Bldg
410, 245 Murray Drive, SW, Washington, DC 20373-5824. All quotations
should include a unit cost for the equipment. Delivery of supplies is
desired within thirty (30) days of award. A signed copy of the Request
For Quotation -- Representations and Certifications shall be included
with offeror's quotation. A copy of the Representations and
Certifications is available via the world wide web at:
