61 -- PRODUCTION OF THE BQM-34/S LEAD ACID BATTERY SOL N68936-00-R-0115 DUE 081700 POC Tom Winans, Contract Specialists, (805) 989-1601, Nathan Simpson, Contracting Officer, (805) 989-1303 Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA 93042-5001 is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive basis to award a Firm Fixed Price contract (with no option quantities) to produce approximately 140 each of a twenty-eight (28) Volts dc (direct current), 5.2 ampere-hour, lead-acid storage battery, used to power the BQM-34A/S target drone during recovery. The battery, including electrolyte, shall weigh 30 lbs. or less, and it shall properly interface (form, fit and function) with the Target Drone Battery Box (Special Test Equipment (STE)). Full details and specifications are provided in the Statement of Work, dated June 13, 2000, included with the solicitation. The solicitation release date is on or about 7/14/00. Delivery shall be 120 days after award of contract, with an anticipated contract award date of 9/30/00. Deliveries for all units will be FOB destination, Naval Air Station, Point Mugu, CA.
