70 -- MAINTENANCE UPGRADE & HARDWARE INSTALLATION SOL 024-00 POC Sharon D. James, Purchasing Agent, (703) 875-6098 The U.S. Department of State, Office of Acquisitions, intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Datalink, 7423 Washington Avenue, South Minneapolis, MN 55439, to upgrade the current maintenance agreement and add an ATL backup unit to accommodate increased data storage requirements. Datalink has completed the initial installation of the ATL backup unit and holds the current maintenance agreement. As the holder of the maintenance agreement, only Datalink can initiate/modify the upgrade and coverage for the new units. Installation of the backup system by a third party will impose unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements as well as give cause to termination of the existing maintenance agreement. This is a follow-on to order number 1025-080017. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S. Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
